The Shepherd's Field is a body of believers that lives by faith, embracing the power of God through the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of reaching the lost and maturing the church.

Whether you grew up in church or if you've never been, you are welcome at The Shepherd's Field.  We exist to encounter God's presence in worship and everything we do, to empower His people to know God and be known by God, to equip His people to fulfill their God ordained purpose, and to extend His love throughout our city, our region, and our world.  We believe that the power of Jesus and His Holy Spirit is for every person.  Whether you know it yet or not, Jesus died to make you a part of His family and His people.  All you have to do is say "Yes" to following Him.  For more info on following Jesus click here.

God has called us to be a Kingdom Church focused on reaching His people from all backgrounds and races.  We would love to have you as a part of The Shepherd's Field family.  If you call God your Father, Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, and you are led by His Holy Spirit, then we call you brother or sister and welcome you at the Shepherd's Field.  If you are not a child of God yet, we would love to introduce you to God and His love for you as our honored guest.

What should I expect the worship service to be like?
A typical Sunday service will generally include a time of praise and worship, a message by one of our pastors, and ministry time, where we will pray for your needs.  You can be certain God's presence will be sought, and we will follow the leading of His Holy Spirit.

Do you have bible study or Sunday School classes on Sunday Mornings?
Yes.  There are small group bible studies (Sunday School) that meet before the service at 9:30 a.m. called Shepherd Groups.  Small groups are a great way to get to know others. Visitors are always welcome to join a small group.

What should I wear?
Don't worry about what you wear, we are just excited to meet you and get to know you.  We praise God that you have come to worship God with us.  We want you and your family to
feel welcome and at home.  Many people will be in jeans.

Where should I park my car?
Guest parking is located facing the pond, just down from the front entrance which faces the pond.  Simply, look for the parking spaces marked with the sign "Guest Parking."  If the Guest Parking is full feel free to park in any parking space.

What time does Sunday School start?
Sunday School starts at 9:30 am.  We have greeters in the lobby from 9:15 am - 9:30 am to assist you in finding the appropiate class for you and your family.

How do I join The Shepherd's Field Church?

There are a few ways to become a member of The Shepherd's Field Church.
  1. Profession of Faith in Jesus
    •  If you have never received Jesus as your Savior and Lord and/or have never publicly confessed Him, you will be given an opportunity to do so. After your decision and public profession of faith, an appointment will be made for you to be baptized by immersion.
  2. Transfer of Letter
    • If you are currently a member of another Southern Baptist Church, we will receive you as a member upon promise of a letter from that church. The Shepherd's Field will contact that church to notify them of your decision and request your letter.
  3. Statement of Faith in Jesus
    • If you have previously made a public decision, acknowledging that you have received Christ as your Savior and Lord, we will be happy to receive you. It will be necessary for you to be baptized if you have never been baptized Scripturally (as a believer, by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as a symbol of your salvation).

Any of these request can be made known by coming down front during an alter call at the end of any service or by meeting with a pastor. If you have further questions please feel free to contact the church office at 731-587-3531.
